Register365 is not Hosting365

September 12th, 2008

I know it takes time to alter customer perception, and for many of our former shared hosting customers, they had been with hosting365 a very long time, but it’s amazing how many people still confuse hosting365 and register365.

As per the post back in May, Register365 was bought by www.names.co.uk back on the 27th of May 2008, and Hosting365 is a different company, that does not provide domain registration, email services or web hosting, and we have no control over or involvement with those services any longer!

  • Thanks Niall,

The short term problem is actually the Hsphere platform that ran the old register365 - it's impossible to change it's 'service' domain.

The new team are working away on deploying an .ie version of their excellent in-house platform at the moment, once done, all new accounts and domains will be completely register365 and all existing Hsphere accounts will be migrated (and all domain registrations / DNS services).

Just takes time to move that many domains :)
  • Maybe you need to work harder at creating the separation? Just as an example, if you go for registering any domain, the suggested name servers are all Hosting 365. This is something that should be fairly simple to change.

I do realise that changing current domains on the H365 server is a royal pain, but surely new registrations shouldn't be a problem.

    NIall.
